The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) is seeking an independent contractor with public affairs experience to provide new branding themes for the Pikeminnow Sport Reward Fishery. This annual fishery pays anglers to catch Northern Pikeminnow and is designed to reduce predation on juvenile salmonids in the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

PSMFC is seeking quotes from qualified independent contractors who will be available to support and maintain the PSMFC Audio/Visual (AV) and teleconferencing equipment located in two conference rooms in Portland, OR and one conference room in Kennewick, WA. The goal of the AV support is to maintain the hardware and software in the 3 conference rooms and trouble shoot any problems.

Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) intends to charter one midwater trawl vessel engaged in the Pacific whiting, Merluccius productus, fishery to participate in a project testing a Bycatch Reduction Device (BRD) designed to reduce Chinook salmon, Oncorhynchus tshawytscha, and rockfish, Sebastes spp., bycatch. This project will be a collaborative study between the PSMFC, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries Service-Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC), and the west coast Pacific whiting fishing industry.
