Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) intends to charter a vessel to
participate in a pilot research project to examine the distribution and abundance of
widow rockfish at selected survey sites off of Oregon and Washington. This project
will be in collaboration with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).

The California Fish Passage Forum (Forum), a recognized Fish Habitat Partnership (FHP) under
the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Fish Habitat Action Plan (NFHP), is seeking the
services of a contractor to summarize the current extent of fish passage monitoring activities in
California, investigate and gather representative fish passage monitoring protocols that are being
used throughout the world, and propose a tiered fish passage monitoring protocol that will be
used to monitor future fish passage projects in California.

The output of this project will be a dossier entitled Wholesale Market Profiles for Alaska Federal
Fisheries that gives qualitative and quantitative descriptions of the wholesale markets for vital
North Pacific fisheries products. This product will include figures, tables, and text illustrating the
current and historical status of these markets.

This RFP is seeking a qualified firm or individual to develop a “roadmap” for the transition of the RecFIN database from SAS to MS-SQL. The goal of the RecFIN database transition is to provide users with a state-of-the art suite of query and data access tools that will allow them to quickly access the information they need and understand what is included in the information they obtain. The design must account for potential future extension.

PSMFC is searching for a qualified contractor to perform a program review of the National Marine Fisheries Service Northeast Fisheries Science Center Fisheries Sampling Branch. The aim of the review is to assess the progress, performance, achievements and lessons learned to date, and to recommend any changes in organizational structure and internal and external processes to improve future operational efficiency, quality and impact of the science center.
