Vessel Needed for Codend Selectivity Study in the Groundfish Bottom Trawl Fishery

The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) intends to charter one vessel to participate in a research project seeking to examine the size-selection characteristics between 4.5” and 5.0” T90 mesh, and 4.5” diamond mesh codends (BK measurements) and evaluate their efficacy at reducing discards of juvenile rockfishes and sablefish, and unmarketable-sized fishes in the west coast groundfish bottom trawl fishery.
